Remember Ed Finlan?
Ed Finlan who?
Ed Finlan, the Fil-Am matinee idol who rose to fame via Lea Productions’ teenybopper films “Haydee” and “Happy Hippie Holiday” and other pop movie hits in the 1970s.
Ed, Eduardo Valdez in real life, recently passed on due to still undeclared cause.
Finlan’s perennial leading lady Hilda Koronel was devastated when the bad news reached her in the US where she is based but the iconic actress couldn’t just pass the day without paying tribute and praying for her friend and leading man.
“I will always remember you, my friend. I will surely miss you,” said Hilda.
Aside from Koronel, Ed’s contemporary star Jessica Pica, the known Channel 11’s Miss Nite Owl Dance Party in the late 60s, also extended her sympathies to the family of her friend and film and TV co-star.
