Honda Cars Fairview hosts Honda Club of the Philippines’ 24th year

The Honda Club of the Philippines (HCP), a community for Honda car enthusiasts in the Philippines originally founded in June 2001, had a successful gathering of its members during its 24th anniversary celebration last Sunday and hosted by Honda Cars Fairview in Quezon City.

More than a hundred members attended the fiesta-like atmosphere event with various activities prepared by both the club and the host Honda Cars Fairview, a proud Honda dealership under the Gateway Group.

Rachel Marie Dy-Dico, the general manager of Honda Cars Fairview, was on hand to welcome the members of the Honda Club of the Philippines, led by its president Charles Dy Cabrera, and the Honda Cars Philippines, led by its president Rie Miyake.

“It’s an absolute honor to host this event here at our dealership. This isn’t just an event—it’s a meaningful gathering of kindred spirits who share a deep appreciation for the Honda brand. We’re truly excited to open our doors to the HCP community, welcome you into our home, and celebrate this remarkable milestone together,” said Rachel Marie Dy-Dico. She said her staff had already anticipated a big gathering so they opened as usual at 7 am and started accepting various concerns not only from their usual customers but also from the club members as well. Honda Cars Fairview came up with exciting promos for the club members who availed of their preventive maintenance services that day.

On the other hand, Honda Club of the Philippines president Charles Dy Cabrera also expressed his gratitude to all the members who took time from their busy schedules and family affairs. “This is a very special gathering for all the members now that we are all preparing for the 25th year celebration for next year. We thank the Honda Cars Fairview for hosting this gathering and also the Honda Cars Philippines officials for giving us the much-needed support in all our activities,” Cabrera said.

Cabrera said the attendees came from the various sub-clubs of the organization. “We have around 22 official sub-groups, 11 are very active ones, with more than 1,000 members. They are the EF Crew, Tropang EG, EK Elite, Club Seventh Generation, Team FD, Civic IX Philippines, Civic X Philippines, Accord Tuners, Honda CR-V Philippines,” he said.

HCP is one of the biggest and most dynamic conglomerate clubs in the country and they also continue to bring together like-minded individuals through positive social and online collaborations, as well as practical motoring information and support for their vehicles. They also have a strong online presence with forums and social media groups that provides a platform for Honda owners and enthusiasts to connect, share information, and build camaraderie. HCP is officially recognized and affiliated with Honda Cars Philippines.

The event is also called the Grand Eyeball by the club officials and this is what has been the tradition ever since its inaugural in 2001. “Honda Club of the Philippines is not only open to all Honda car owners but also to Honda car enthusiasts. In fact, we have a member who is only 5-year-old who is really very enthusiastic on Honda cars,” said Cabrera, drives a 1994 Honda Civic Sedan ESI which saw a lot of transformation through time. He also owns a genuine Honda CR-V 1998 (which he displayed during the event) and a 2018 Honda CR-V.

Honda Cars Philippines president Rie Miyake also addressed the crowd and she expressed her gratitude for all the support of the club for the Honda cars. “This is a special organization that is close to our heart. Honda Club of the Philippines is one of our major supporters in promoting Honda Cars. They are everywhere in the country that’s why people have always the opportunity to take a closer look of our Honda cars. Thank you so much and rest assured that we are here to support you always as well,” Miyake said.
