Honda Philippines wins three prizes at C! Awards

Three vehicles of Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI), the automobile business unit of the Japanese motorcycle-maker in the country, bagged prizes at the 11th Annual C! Awards—which honors the best four-wheel and two-wheel vehicles in the nation, based on its editorial team’s reviews—held at the Palms Country Club in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, on September 15.

Honored as Best in Class for the Executive category is the Honda Accord, which HCPI said in a statement on its website “embodies a mix of both smart packaging and sophisticated interior and exterior styling.”

“Anyone who steps inside the Accord gains an executive feel with the interior features and amenities. The Accord, offered in both 2.4 S and 3.5 SV variants, is a vehicle built with [a] high level of Honda’s durability, quality and reliability; and delivers an overall pleasurable experience and exceptional fuel efficiency,” it added.

Winning in the Best in Class for the Hybrid category is Honda’s Sport Hybrid Coupe, the CR-Z, described as both sporty and economical, and which “emphasizes Honda’s commitment to provide [a] product that the market wants from the brand, such as a powerful hybrid vehicle.”

“The CR-Z uses a 1.5 liter i-VTEC engine as the main source of power with an electric motor, Honda’s Integrated Motor Assist (Ima). This combination allows drivers to have a more responsive, efficient and…exciting experience,” Honda said.

Taking home the award for Best in Class, Executive Mid-size People Carrier, is the recently launched All-New Odyssey, which was developed “with the mindset of creating a multipassenger vehicle that has a large cabin space. A spacious and comfortable ride with an added touch of luxury is what the Odyssey can offer.”

“Currently, the Odyssey proves to be one of Honda’s more desirable products, as evidenced by the increasing market demand,” the car-maker noted.
