ICTSI market value tops P2-T

International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI) surpassed another milestone after its market capitalization climbed to ₱2.02 trillion last week.

The company’s share price closed at a record ₱999, reflecting sustained investor confidence in the port operator.

In a statement, the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) said ICTSI’s market capitalization had already reached ₱2.01 trillion on Tuesday. The latest milestone comes less than 10 months after the company breached the ₱1-trillion mark on Sept. 17, 2025.

PSE President and Chief Executive Officer Ramon Monzon described the achievement as remarkable. He said doubling the company’s market value in less than a year underscores the market’s confidence in ICTSI’s leadership and long-term growth strategy.

Monzon credited the performance to the leadership of ICTSI Chairman and President Enrique K. Razon Jr. He also cited the company’s continued expansion of its global port and logistics network as a key factor behind the strong investor interest.

ICTSI has been aggressively investing in its domestic operations. In May, the company secured a US$300-million loan from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) to modernize and expand three of its container terminals in the Philippines.

The investment will increase the capacity of the Manila International Container Terminal to 3.7 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) by 2027. It will also raise the capacity of the Mindanao Container Terminal to about 1 million TEUs by 2028.

Meanwhile, the South Luzon Container Terminal in Batangas, which is still under development, is expected to handle 800,000 TEUs annually by 2028. The expansion is aimed at supporting the country’s growing trade and logistics requirements.

Earlier this year, ICTSI also strengthened its international portfolio after its Australian subsidiary secured an extension of its contract to operate the Port of Melbourne.
