Isuzu introduces new chief, new mu-X

Isuzu Philippines Corporation introduced a new president together with the unveiling of the 2025 Isuzu mu-X, its latest model that redefines luxury, comfort, performance, and safety, on a glittering Friday night at the Shangri-la Hotel Makati.

Mikio Tsukui takes over the helm of the Isuzu Philippines operation vice Tetsuya Fujita, who went back to Japan main office. He will be back later this month for the formal turnover of the presidency. Tsukui’s formal presentation to the local media, dealers, and banker-partners was also attended by several top ranking Asia and local Isuzu officials. Among them were the president of Isuzu Motors International Operations in Thailand, and the comebacking and newly appointed IPC executive vice president Yasuhiko Oyama.

The new 2025 Isuzu mu-X is now presented to the Philippines after it received successes in Thailand and Australia since last year. More than just a vehicle, it’s a statement of sophistication, strength, and intelligence built on Isuzu’s legacy of durability and innovation.

“For over a decade, the Isuzu mu-X has been a staple in Filipino households, trusted by families, business professionals, and adventure seekers alike. With its new elevated design, enhanced features, and cutting-edge technology, we have no doubt that this latest model will once again set the standard in the SUV segment,” said Mikio Tsukui during his opening speech.

At the heart of the 2025 Isuzu mu-X is the powerful and reliable 4JJ3-TCX 3.0L Blue Power engine, delivering 190 PS of maximum power and 450 N-m of torque and features a striking and aerodynamically refined exterior inspired by fighter jet design, new dynamic front grille and sculpted hood that enhance its visual appeal, makes it appear wider and taller, and a redesigned front bumper that is now integrated with an air curtain function which improves aerodynamics by reducing drag and cabin noise, ensuring a quieter and smoother ride even at high speeds.

It has four variants and they are the following with the corresponding price tags: P1,725,000 for the Isuzu mu-X RZ4E 4×2 LS AT; P2,069,000 for the Isuzu mu-X 3.0L 4×2 LS-A AT; P2,320,000 for the Isuzu mu-X 3.0L 4×2 LS-E AT; and P2,670,000 for the Isuzu mu-X 3.0L 4×4 LS-E AT. The new Eiger Gray color option is exclusively available for LS-E and LS-A variants.
