Actor Jericho Rosales didn’t expect to fall in love again at this point and time.
It was indeed fate or whirlwind romance that moved Jericho and actress Janine Gutierrez together when they met up and starred in ABS-CBN’s series, “Lavander Fields” where they played a couple.
From then on, Rosales was inspired to work with Janine who was also single at the time.
“She’s very sweet, very kind, very funny, and a very dedicated, very good actress,” said Echo in an interview. Those traits drove her closer to Gutierrez who until now hasn’t uttered a single word about their relationship.
It seems she just takes everything in stride, lets its natural flow of things take its course.
When she went to Japan to represent the internationally acclaimed director Lav Diaz’s film “Phantosmia” at the 2024 Tokyo International Film Festival, Jericho was with her but just stayed in the background.
Although she didn’t post anything in her Instagram about Echo as a companion in the world event, she was astonished to experience myriads of feelings, one of them her special participation in the international stage while being witnessed somewhere by her travel confidante. “Another ‘pinch me’ red carpet moment. Thank you for the warm welcome for ‘Phantosmia,” Tokyo IFF! We hope you can catch our screenings…,” the actress wrote in her IG with a red heart emoji.
Echo and Janine had a sweet time together in Japan as “best friends” touring and eating around which prompted the actor to say that his girlfriend is the best travel buddy he could ever imagine.
Meanwhile, observers are hoping the couple would eventually admit their romance officially as they find them ideal.
It was only early this year that Echo and former wife, fashion designer and photographer Kim Jones had confirmed the end of their relationship through his friend Ricco Ocampo as an official spokesperson. “It was a mutual decision, an amicable separation, dealt with grace and maturity by both parties,” declared Ricco who said that Kim and Jericho publicly announced their separation as husband and wife on a Monday, January 29, 2024.
In reality, though, Jones and Rosales’ bond had already been severed since 2019.
It means that Echo and Janine are very much single. That makes their relationship deeper and more exciting. (Boy Villasanta)
