The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival, is a harvest festival celebrated in Chinese culture that started more than 2,000 years ago and devoted to thanking the gods. Most scholars believe that the Mid-autumn Festival first appeared during the Zhou dynasty and derived from the tradition of worshipping the moon.

And it was a fitting event to officially start the collaboration forged between Midori Hotel & Casino in Clark, Pampanga and the Jetour Auto Philippines, Inc., the newest Chinese car manufacturer which sells quality but affordable sports utility vehicles and a cute fully-electric car in the local auto industry.
The weather was bright when a delegation of Jetour officials and some media friends on board five Jetour vehicles – SUVs such as the X70 Plus, Dashing, and X70 and the Ice Cream electric vehicle (EV) – went off to a short journey last Friday from Pasig to Clark. They were invited to witness the Mid-Autumn Festival celebration that was set up inside the whole venue of the Midori Hotel & Casino inside the Clark Freeport in Angeles City.
The towering 6-storey, 110-room, 5-star luxurious Midori was reached before lunchtime and the Jetour delegation, led by Jetour marketing director May delos Santos, was welcomed by Midori Hotel & Casino marketing/PR & VIP Services head Maria Fatima Louise Maneja.
“We have chosen Jetour vehicles as our major prizes in our two-phase raffles after carefully screening all the vehicles in the market today. Jetour has distinct qualities that stand out from its competitors,” said Maneja, who showed the elegant showroom-like display of all Jetour vehicles at the entrance of the hotel and inside the spacious lobby.
An elaborate dragon dance parade highlighted the opening ceremonies later in the afternoon at the lobby of the hotel where Midori top honcho Alvin Wu, the president of the BB International, officially welcomed the Jetour officials led by its managing director Lito Jose, and he later on opened up the Mid-Autumn Festival celebration.
For his part, Jose, who celebrated his natal day that particular day, thanked Midori Hotel & Casino and its president Alvin Wu for choosing Jetour as the vehicles of their choice for their major raffles this coming December and in the first quarter of the next year.
Jose said that a total of five Jetour vehicles will be raffled off to lucky Midori Hotel & Casino customers – three this December and two on the first quarter of 2024.
“We are very happy with the way Midori Hotel & Casino welcomed us here and it strong support to our vehicles. This Mid-Autumn Festival is a fitting event to start a very warm relationship between us and we hope that this will last for a long time,” said Jose, who joined the celebration up to midnight full of fun, food, drinks, and laughter. And the dragon dance parade also made its appearance that night as the full moon shone bright that night!
