LANDBANK is exploring new opportunities with leading Indian fintech companies to advance digital payments, financial inclusion, and cross-border financial services for Filipinos at home and abroad.
A key engagement was held with NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL), the international arm of the organization behind India's Unified Payments Interface (UPI), to discuss potential cooperation in digital payments and interoperability.
The meeting was held alongside President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s participation in the 18th BRICS Summit in India, amid efforts by the Philippines and India to strengthen economic and business ties.
“Digital innovation has the power to bring financial services closer to every Filipino, wherever they may be. Through our engagement with NIPL, LANDBANK is exploring solutions that can make transactions simpler, faster, and more accessible, while supporting a more inclusive and connected financial future for the country,” said LANDBANK President and CEO Lynette V. Ortiz.
The discussions also explored how interoperable payment systems could enable faster and more seamless transactions for businesses, government agencies, and overseas Filipinos.
