The Department of Transportation (DOTr) highlighted the need for legal support to be able to complete various transport infrastructure projects on time to members of the Society of Construction Law Philippines during their conference October 17.
DOTr Undersecretary for Legal Affairs Atty. Reinier Paul Yebra, representing Secretary Jaime J. Bautista, ran through the department’s major projects such as the Metro Manila Subway Project, North-South Commuter Railway, EDSA Greenways, Taguig City Integrated Terminal Exchange, and New Cebu International Container Port.
“We want to empower people through transport initiatives that focuses on mobility efficiency. And we are focused on this goal – reinvest in transport infrastructures to make mobility equitable for urban sustainability. We are finetuning our multi-sectoral projects to provide a better travel experience”, Usec. Yebra said.
He also shared President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s creation of an Inter-Agency Committee for Right-of Way Activities to streamline the process of land acquisition.
