Luzon International Premiere Airport Development (LIPAD) Corp. has unveiled the Clark AeroDistrict, the country’s first world-class airport city aimed at transforming Clark into a major aviation, logistics and business hub in Central Luzon.
The project is backed by a consortium composed of Changi Airports International, JG Summit Holdings, Filinvest Development Corp. and Philippine Airport Ground Support Solutions. It marks LIPAD’s expansion beyond airport operations into integrated economic development.
LIPAD President and Chief Executive Officer Noel Manankil said the 759-hectare Clark AeroDistrict is designed to position Clark as a future-ready center for aviation, commerce, logistics and investments.
“It will be the heart of an ecosystem where aviation, commerce, logistics and everyday life converge,” Manankil said.
Located inside the Clark Freeport Zone, the development was master-planned by Texas-based infrastructure consulting firm Aecom. The project will rise on government-owned land, eliminating right-of-way issues and allowing faster development.
Manankil said the estate will feature four development zones dedicated to aviation-related industries, cargo and logistics operations, commercial and mixed-use developments, and future airport expansion.
The project will include facilities for maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services, general aviation, cargo and freight operations, and future passenger terminals. An integrated cargo and logistics ecosystem will also be developed to support the expected growth in air freight and attract new investors.
According to LIPAD, the airport city will provide scalable, investment-ready infrastructure designed to strengthen supply chains and improve the movement of goods across both domestic and international markets. The company expects the Clark AeroDistrict to reinforce the airport’s role as one of the country’s key gateways for trade, tourism and investments. TRACY CABRERA
