Loteyro,  Cabitac share limelight in Samahang Plaridel golfest

Larry Loteyro captured top honors in the 8th Samahang Plaridel Golf 2024 at the Villamor Air Base Golf Club  in Pasay City last Nov. 26.

Loteyro, who represented leading IT services provider ActionLabs, emerged with the low gross score of 78 to bag the championship in the event organized by  the  Association of Philippines Journalists Samahang Plaridel Foundation, Inc, and sponsored by PAGCOR, PCSO, San Miguel Corporation. Philippine Sports Commission and  JD Legaspi Construction.

PSC Chairman Richard Bachmann and PCSO Chairman Felix Reyes made the ceremonial tee-off, along with  APJ-Samahang Plaridel president Evelyn Quiroz, Atty. Ric Diaz of NBI and Engr. Mike Marquez.

Quiroz also awarded the trophies and prizes to the winners, assisted  by  Samahang Plaridel Vice President Andy Sevilla.

Sharing the limelight was Rizal Provincial Board member Fernando Jun Cabitac, who took the Low Net championship with an 80 and the longest putt at Hole No. 18.

The other winners in the event also supported by House  Speaker Martin Romualdez, Rizal Park Hotel, Construction Workers Solidarity (CWS) Partylist, and Philippine Airlines are Jojo Castro as Class A  champion with a gross score of 78 and  Christian Adrenida as Class A runner-up with 82;  Emmanuel Delima as Class B champion with 71 and Don Lerit as Class B  runner-up with  91;  and Mark Reyes as Class C champion with 101 (72) and Reuben Terrado as Class C runner-up with 100 ( 73).

Other special awards went to Jun Engracia,  Nearest to the Pin at No. 12 (17 feet);  Jun Hyun Park , Longest drive at No. 18 (290 yards) ; and Delima , Most Accurate Drive at No 9 (seven inches).
