Lovi Poe in Phl to promote self-produced film

After almost a year of absence from the local entertainment scene, Lovi Poe—so-called Supreme Actress of the Philippines—is back in town.

Lovi missed her life back home so much that she requested her husband, film producer and businessman Monty Biencowe whom she described as an amazing husband who wouldn’t stop her from doing what she loves to do—acting and visiting the Philippines.

Poe is around to promote her latest outing, “Guilty Pleasure,” a co-venture of her own C’est Lovi Production and Regal Entertainment which is celebrating its 60^th year.

“I owe so much to Regal Films that gave me my acting break,” said Lovi.

The actress was teary-eyed when she witnessed legions of fans queuing up to see her in malls in Manila and the suburbs. Even if her mall tour would end up late at night, Lovi was thankful for the appreciation of her fans. “It’s an extra special night for me and my production company,” she wrote on her social media spaces with a heart emoji.

“It’s the cherry on top? Launching our film…,” she quipped. “If you are going to suffer the GUILT, make sure you enjoy the PLEASURE,” the actress teased.

The film also stars JM de Guzman, Jameson Blake, Sarah Edwards, Dustin Yu, Angelica Lao, among others, directed by Connie Macatuno.

In an interview, Poe described that her production is a common project with Monty. “I manage the creative side of production while my husband does the administrative work,” she said.

C’est Lovi Productions is scheduled to release international productions.

Lovi and Monty were married in 2023 at Cliveden House in the United Kingdom.
