There’s no stopping the Lopez-Booth nuptial today, November 25, 2024 in Palawan.
All roads lead to Pangulasian Island in El Nido for the garden wedding of Filipino actress Mara Lopez, Mara Isabella Lopez Yokohama in real life, and young American businessman Chandler Booth.
The Lopezes, led by its matriarch, beauty-queen actress Maria Isabel Lopez, 1982 Binibining Pilipinas-Universe, and the bride arrived recently from the US to fulfill the long-awaited moment of marriage of the daughter to her fiancé Chandler.
Mara came all the way from New York to realize her cherished dream of a wedding.
In her Instagram post, the younger Lopez reminisced days before she settled down: “Looking back at good times from our engagement party in Austin! Counting down the days ‘til we reunite with our loved ones in Palawan for our big day.”
Mara wrote her thoughts with matching engagement ring emoji.
Unfortunately, the patriarch, Hiroshi Yokohama, who is in Japan, couldn’t make it to the occasion for personal reasons.
Maribel’s former husband is practical and confident, though, Mara is in good hands with his son-in-law.
Maria planed in to the Philippines from Sebastopol, California where she stays with husband, lawyer and labor leader Jonathan Melrod who is also around to join the memorable wedding of his stepdaughter.
The older Lopez goes back and forth US if she has movie and TV assignments back home.
Meanwhile, Mara and Chandler set foot in the country from New York where the latter is based.
For the meantime, Hiroshi would meditate for the good life of his family in the Philippines and US.
Yokohama has been living mostly in Japan after he broke up with Maribel.
Mara’s younger brother Ken Lopez Yokohama plays best man in the wedding.
At the same time, he and his mom walk Mara to the aisle.
The Booths are also present during the ceremony.
Mara and Chandler were engaged in July 2023 in Austin, Texas in the US.
