Puerto Princesa City, Palawan – The MARINA Enforcement Service (ES), in collaboration with the MARINA Regional Office IV (MRO4), conducted a Maritime Safety Culture Awareness Campaign Caravan – dubbed “Ligtas Byaheng Dagat” – at the Provincial Capitol of Palawan.
The caravan aims to enhance maritime safety and raise passenger awareness through consultative dialogues with key stakeholders.
Aligned with the MARINA Administrator’s 10-point agenda, which emphasizes safety and security in maritime transportation, the campaign focused on educating stakeholders and boat captains about the importance of complying with MARINA policies and fostering a safety-conscious culture to prevent maritime accidents.
Through lectures, the campaign sought to reduce marine incidents, heighten safety awareness, and promote a culture of safety aboard vessels.
The “Ligtas Byaheng Dagat” Campaign is a flagship program of the MARINA Enforcement Service, dedicated to monitoring and ensuring compliance among passenger vessels, motor bancas, cargo ships, and other watercraft in adherence to maritime regulations.
