Megaworld eyes provincial expansion

MEGAWORLD, through its tourism and leisure arm Global-Estate Resorts Inc. (GERI), said that the projects reflect sustained demand for homes, lots, and commercial spaces in growth areas beyond the capital, as more buyers look for lifestyle communities with open space, nature, and investment upside.

Megaworld owner Kevin Tan is leaning harder into the provincial property boom, with P11 billion worth of residential and commercial projects outside Metro Manila set for turnover this year.

“There remains a strong demand for residential developments and commercial spaces from our developments in key growth areas outside Metro Manila. This highlights the long-term value clients see in our integrated communities, which offer a seamless blend of nature, modern convenience, and investment security,” GERI president Monica T. Salomon said in a statement.

The turnover pipeline spans Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Batangas, and Aklan.

In Cavite, GERI is turning over units at The Lindgren and commercial lots at Arden Botanical Estate in Trece Martires and Tanza. In Laguna, it will turn over housing units at The Hamptons Terraces, residential lots at The Hamptons Caliraya in Cavinti, and units at Tulip Gardens in Southwoods City in Biñan.

GERI is also turning over residential lots at Eastland Heights in Antipolo, Rizal; units at Twin Lakes Manor and The Belvedere at Twin Lakes in Laurel, Batangas; and units at Boracay Newcoast in Malay, Aklan.

The company is pitching these developments as alternatives to Metro Manila’s congestion, offering resort-style communities, larger land banks, and easier access to leisure destinations.

“We hope to continue capturing the growing real estate markets in the provinces. By leveraging on the natural beauty of the locations where we are present, we envision our developments to be the most sought-after addresses for business and lifestyle beyond Metro Manila,” added Salomon.

GERI currently has 12 tourism estates and integrated lifestyle communities covering more than 4,100 hectares across the country, including Twin Lakes in Batangas, Boracay Newcoast in Aklan, Eastland Heights in Rizal, Arden Botanical Estate in Cavite, The Hamptons Caliraya in Laguna, and The Upper Central in Cagayan de Oro.
