Mitsubishi’s first Dendo inaugurated

Mitsubishi  Motors  Philippines  Corporation (MMPC)  officially announced that its  Mitsubishi  Manila  Bay showroom as  its flagship Dendo  Drive  Station in  the  country.

It is  an  outlet  where customers can learn and experience a variety of energy sources represented by an Electric Vehicle (EV) or Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) and the value of their power feeding functions in the event of a disaster.

Spearheaded by the Peak Motors Philippines, Inc. (PMPI), this next-generation lets Filipino discover first-hand the brand’s Vehicle-To-Home (V2H) energy ecosystem. Not only does it charge the Outlander PHEV but also supplies electricity back to the facility. This lessens dependency on the grid to be able to run appliances while during blackouts it serves as a back-up generator.

Mitsubishi   Motors   has   always   been   dedicated   to   continuously   study technologies and gaining expertise when it comes to vehicle electrification. The Dendo Drive Station is a manifestation of this, bringing a new kind of value in terms of eco-mobility,” according to the president  and CEO  of MMPC  Takeshi  Hara. “Designed  to  be  part  of our commitment  to  help achieve  a  sustainable  society  by  2030  while  at  the  same  time  impact  the  communities  where Mitsubishi Motors dealerships are located. We hope to get more support in helping instill confidence among  Filipinos  when  it  comes  PHEVs  and  more  importantly  shed  some  light on  environmental sustainability.”

The  Philippines,  being  one  of  the  world’s  most disaster  prone  countries,  the equipment installed at the showroom and the Outlander PHEV’s external power feeding function can directly support calamity-affected communities. The Meralco, through its subsidiaries, Spectrum,  eSakay  and  MServ, brought  the  components to  life.  Two charging  pods,  an IKS  bi-directional  charger and a Delta  DC Wallbox, can be found inside the showroom and at the vehicle receiving area, respectively.
