Omoda and Jaecoo, another global automotive powerhouse, was officially launched in the Philippines last week with the unveiling of its three new brands – Omoda C5, Omoda E5, and the Jaecoo EJ6 – that are offering a mix of futuristic aesthetics, high-performance engineering, and eco-friendly mobility solutions.
Top officials of the car company were present during the glittering launch at the BGC Arts Center and well-attended by guests from the various sectors of the local auto industry and from the members of the media.
“The Philippines is the fifth Southeast Asian market to welcome Omoda & Jaecoo and we couldn’t be more thrilled. Since first entering the market in 2023, we’ve seen a strong demand for vehicles that combine sleek style with smart technology. Now, Filipino drivers can finally get behind the wheel of our models, designed for both city streets and adventure trails,” says Omoda and Jaecoo Motor Philippines, Inc. country director Terry Hu. Several other higher officials of Chery Motors, its mother company, were in attendance and even tok the stage one after the other in introducing the brand and their cars.
The keenly awaited announcement of the pricing of the vehicles were received with loud applause as they are expected to run head-on with the other Chinese brands offerings in the market today.
“With the warm reception that the Omoda C5 and Omoda E5 received even before our official launch, we were inspired to roll out a promo for our Filipino buyers. This way, more Filipinos can experience premium automotive innovation first-hand,” said Shawn Xu, the CEO of Omoda & Jaecoo Global.
The Jaecoo EJ6, zeroing in on the future of off-road EVs in the Philippines and designed for adventure-seekers that merges premium engineering with rugged capability, making all-road, all-weather driving possible with the power of new energy solutions, is priced very competitively at P1,799,000 for the AWD Premium and P1,649,000 for the RWD Premium.
The Omoda C5, a sleek crossover that embodies the brand’s futuristic ‘Cross F Future’ design, blending sharp aesthetics with cutting-edge technology, is pegged at the following prices: 1.5T Luxury– ₱1,179,000; 1.5T Comfort– ₱1,059,000; 1.5L Lifestyle– ₱898,000. The Omoda C5 and the Jaecoo EJ6 are both gasoline-fed and they have vehicle warranty of up to 7 years or200,000 kms and engine warranty of 10 years or 1,000,000 kms.
Meanwhile, the Omoda E5 is the brand’s first fully electric vehicle that marks a major leap toward sustainable mobility and its Luxury-extended Range is pegged at ₱1,499,000. It has a 7-year warranty or 200,000 kms and battery warranty of 8 years or 200,000 kms.
Special promo prices to make its game-changing vehicles even more accessible to Filipino motorists were announced and interested buyers have until June 30, 2025 to either pay a ₱10,000 deposit to receive ₱110,000 off the Omoda C5 or ₱20,000 deposit to receive ₱220,000 off the Omoda E5.
