Omoda & Jaecoo celebrates 1st year in Philippines

Omoda & Jaecoo Motor Philippines Inc. celebrated its first anniversary in the country with rapid expansion and market success as it solidified its position as a rising force in the local automotive industry.

This was emphasized during the OJMPI Dealer Conference last Feb. 13 at the Okada Manila with an exclusive preview of the highly anticipated Jaecoo J5 with 51 delegates representing 19 dealer partners from across the archipelago. The event served as a platform to honor the exceptional performance of the network that has driven the brand’s first-year success.

The prestigious Hero Dealer of the Year Award was presented to the top-performing partners such as:  Omoda & Jaecoo Pasig (1st Place); Omoda & Jaecoo Cebu (2nd Place); Omoda & Jaecoo Alabang (3rd Place). Special citations were also awarded to Omoda & Jaecoo Iloilo for Best in Dealer Operations, while Omoda & Jaecoo Bulacan was named Rookie Dealer of the Year, highlighting the strength of the brand’s newest partners.

“Our first year has been a journey of building trust and delivering innovation. With the arrival of the J5 and the continued dedication of our dealer partners, we are confident that Omoda & Jaecoo will continue to redefine the Philippine automotive landscape,” OJMPI marketing manager Fritz Gerald De Ocampo said.

Omoda & Jaecoo gave the public a glimpse into the future of sustainable mobility with a preview of the Jaecoo J5, a hybrid electric vehicle designed for the modern, eco-conscious adventurer, boasting: Fuel Efficiency – An impressive 18.9 km/L (global rating); Extended Range: Over 950 km on a single full tank; Performance: A robust power output of 221 HP and 295 Nm of torque; Pet-Friendly Interior – J5 is notably TÜV SÜD certified for its pet-friendly cabin materials, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all family members, including four-legged ones.

In just nine months, Omoda & Jaecoo has emerged as one of the fastest-growing automotive brands in the Philippines, selling nearly 600 units, a testament to the local market’s warm reception of its “New Energy” vehicle philosophy. It is backed by a rapidly expanding network, with 20 dealers signed and 10 already in full operation. The brand’s momentum was further validated in September 2025, when data from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. showed Jaecoo emerging as the top-selling PHEV brand in the country – joining industry giants like Toyota (HEV) and Tesla (BEV) at the top of their respective electrified segments.

“Our first year has been a journey of building trust and delivering innovation,” said Fritz Gerald De Ocampo, Marketing Manager, OJMPI. “With the arrival of the J5 and the continued dedication of our dealer partners, we are confident that Omoda & Jaecoo will continue to redefine the Philippine automotive landscape.”
