On 30 December 2024, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) monitored a total of 195,644 outbound passengers and 173,712 inbound passengers in all ports nationwide.
Moreover, the 3,043 deployed frontline personnel in 16 PCG Districts inspected a total of 1,811 vessels and 2,247 motorbancas.
Compared to the consolidated report on 29 December 2024, the number of outbound passengers has decreased by 21,778 (10%), while the number of inbound passengers has decreased by 28,593 (14%).
A decrease of 105 (6%) inspected vessels and a decrease of 450 (17%) inspected motorbancas were also noted.
The PCG has placed its districts, stations, and sub-stations on “heightened alert” from 20 December 2024 to 03 January 2025 to manage the influx of port passengers who will visit their families and loved ones in the provinces.
