For the fourth time, 2015 Miss Universe and Filipina film and television star Pia Wurtzbach participated in the prestigious Cannes International Film Festival in Cannes, France not as an actress but as a model to prelude not the showing of a Filipino film but a European tentpole instead.
Pia recently walked the red carpet of the 79th Cannes to usher in the premiere showing of a Spanish-French co-production of a main derby project billed “La Bola Negra” which also stars heavyweights Penelope Cruz and Glenn Close.
“La Bola Negra,” translated as “The Black Ball” is a Cannes main competition entry directed by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi forays into the colorful lives of three gay men, portrayed by world famous continental actors, namely Guitarricadelafuente, Miguel Bernardeau and Carlos Gonzalez, whose interrelatedness covers the eras of the 1932, 1937 and 2017.
Spanish actor Milo Quifez and actress Lola Duenas also stars in the movie.
According to wikipedia, the film is an adaptation from an infinished literary work of world renowned dramatist Federico Garcia Lorca.
Before sashaying and slaying the French Riviera catwalk, Wurtzbach was engaged in a self-motivated beauty regimen right in her exclusive ride.
“Last touch-ups before the Cannes red carpet,” noted the beauty queen.
The international model wore a white and gold frock inspired from the concept of “Moulin Rouge” eyecatcher revised by Mark Bumgarner.
