Successful 2nd UAAGI Auto Group Cup golf

The 20th anniversary of the United Asia Automotive Group of Rommel Sytin was the highlight of the 2nd UAAGI Auto Group Cup, a day-long golf of friendly competition and camaraderie among the participants, last Feb. 18 at the Wack Wack Golf & Country Club in Mandaluyong City.

Hundreds of dealers, bank partners, members of the media, and other guests participated in the event that was hosted by the different vehicle brands being offered in the country by UAAGI, considered as one of the largest in the country today. The car brands include Chery, Foton, Jetour,  BAIC, Lynk & Co, and Radar.

“It has been a very wonderful journey and we are now celebrating the 20th year UAAGI in the Philippines. We are very thankful for your participation in our 2nd UAAGI Auto Group Cup and we hope to continue this golf event that really promotes camaraderie and friendship among our partners,” said the very happy Rommel Sytin, the chairman and president of UAAGI.

UAAGI was founded in 2006 with the Chery and Foton brands leading their foray into the Philippine automotive market. Within the span of 20 years, Sytin guided the company into a big conglomerate of Chinese-brand vehicles that is now into the electrification of mobility in the near future.

As early as 5:30 in the morning, participating golfers were already trooping into the huge function room for registration. After the ceremonial tee-off, the shotgun sounded to start play at past 8 in the morning.

All the par-3s of the west course had a hole-in-one prize each: Hole 3 – Lynk & Co 06; Hole 8 – Jetour Ice Cream; Hole 11 – Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid; and Hole 14 – Foton wonder Pickup. But when no one was lucky enough to make it, Rommel Sytin decided to raffle off the head-turner Chery Tiggo 7Pro Hybrid to the delight of all participants.
