Every business starts with a first step. For Anthony “Ka Tunying” Taberna and Rossel “Mrs. T” Taberna, it meant becoming the first in their respective families to venture into entrepreneurship.
Over a decade later, that decision has grown into the Taberna Group of Companies (TGC), a Filipino-owned enterprise with four brands and a Communi-T of around 250 employees.
The power couple marked yet another milestone with TGC FOR BUSINESS 2026: An Open House for Partners & Clients at The Metro Tent in Pasig City in a simple ceremony on Oct. 13.
Guided by the theme “ONE STEP,” the event welcomed entrepreneurs, corporate clients, industry partners, government representatives, and members of the media to explore TGC’s products, services, and business opportunities.
The TGC For Business Open House showcases the Taberna Group of Companies’ brands, products, and services, highlighting opportunities for business growth, market expansion, and strategic partnerships across the Philippine market.
The open house kicked off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by the couple, joined by business and government leaders, including DTI Secretary Ma. Cristina Aldeguer-Roque, Tourism Undersecretary Stanley K. Ng, and Pasig City Vice Mayor Robert “Dodot” Jaworski Jr. The founders’ daughter, Zoey Taberna, then led a prayer of gratitude.
Guests explored brand exhibits, tastings, product demos, interactive activities, and exclusive offers, while business teams presented partnership opportunities in reselling, manufacturing, catering, corporate gifting, and event production.
Ka Tunying’s featured Filipino dining, bakery products, catering, corporate gifting, and reseller opportunities, with Community Partner packages starting at ₱25,000.
Kumbachero Food Corp. presented white-label manufacturing, toll production, bulk supply, and reseller programs, helping entrepreneurs launch food brands without investing in production facilities.
Taste of the Town Catering presented services for corporate events, weddings, and social gatherings, alongside hotbox deliveries, grazing spreads, and customized dining experiences.
Outbox Media Powerhouse Corporation highlighted event production, multimedia, creative direction, artist management, and interactive activations through Eventverse.
Together, the four brands demonstrated TGC’s integrated services across food, manufacturing, catering, events, and creative solutions for consumers, MSMEs, and corporate clients.
For TGC, people management starts with character. Skills can be developed, but integrity, humility, and a willingness to learn are the foundation of a strong, values-driven team.
“Kami po ang motto namin sa company ay ‘Character over competence,’” Roselle shared.
For the Tabernas, growth is not simply about building more businesses. It is about creating more opportunities for people to grow together.
The Tabernas believe in balance. Their partnership thrives on trust, mutual support, and shared decisions, strengthening both their marriage and business.
“I handle the business well. He (Tunying) handles me well,” said Roselle.
She describes Anthony as her biggest source of support, encouragement, and faith: “Very supportive. Kapag ako napanghihinaan ng loob, pinaka magaling mag-pep talk, pinaka magaling magpalakas ng loob—we pray together.”
After 18 years of marriage, their secret lies in making decisions together and standing by them without blame. As Rossel puts it, “Siguro ‘yung culture sa mag-asawa na ’pag nag-decide kayo together, wala nang sisihan.”
Founded by Anthony and Rossel Taberna, TGC is a Filipino-owned group behind four brands: Ka Tunying’s, Kumbachero Food Corp., Taste of the Town Catering, and Outbox Media Powerhouse Corporation. With approximately 250 members in its growing Communi-T, TGC pursues business growth rooted in Christian values, balancing material success with spiritual growth.
