By now, Rufa Mae Quinto has been tackling her coming to terms with the death of her husband, Trevor Magallanes.
No matter how painful, Rufa Mae has to move on.
In the middle of her private pain, Quinto has posted on her Facebook wall, her public thoughts accompanied by an edited video on their wedding day uploaded four years ago on YT.
“Mag asawa pa din kami ni Trevor , walang nag file saamin ng annulment . Dito po kami sa Pilipinas kinasal Nov 25,2016 . Ako po ay Widow/ byuda na, shock pa din at nag luluksa po kaming Mag- ina and Salamat po sa lahat ng condolences and Rip and sympathy heart. Salamat sa pakikiramay. Lord please give me and Athena our daughter strength , Ang sakit (Trevor and I are still married. No one filed an annulment. We were married here in the Philippines. I am already a widow. My daughter and I are still shocked and mourning. Thanks for your sympathies. Thanks for grieving with us. It’s painful),” wrote Rufa Mae seemingly with trembling hands with colored blue and purple hearts emoji.
Meanwhile, in this day and age of complexities brought about by social media, there are perplexing instances if not circumstances that surround the news of the death of Trevor Magallanes, the husband of actress-comedienne Rufa Mae.
Noticeably, there was no direct report of the incident from any source in the US where Trevor had supposedly worked and resided.
The public was just bombarded with shocking headlines in Facebook, X, the former Twitter, and other popular apps, expectedly dragging the name of his famous wife.
Later, in her Instagram, Rufa Mae posted a request to the public not to speculate or spread false information in social media about the cause of Trevor’s passing hours after the breaking news was reported.

“I’m deeply saddened by this development. Hope u give us time to mourn his lost especially my daughter. Just pray for us that we will get thru this by the help of God!
“We are still gathering factual information about his death. Even us or his immediate family are still verifying what happened. I am flying tomorrow for d US with my daughter so pls wait for the official announcement surrounding his death from me & his family only and not fr any other source.
“Thank u very much and pls give us respect & pray for us in this time of trial.
“Hanggang sa huli…. Hanggang sa muli (Until the end… Till then).
“Mahal kita (I love you) Trev.
There are netizens, though, curious as a cat and wanted to be clarified of the real identity of Trevor.
One of them had asked why suddenly Magallanes was described by digital media as a financial analyst when the general public knew all along that he was a policeman in San Francisco, California.
A netizen was caught informing socmedlandia that the family of Trevor was giving away cryptic messages on the death of their kin.
Was this part of Trevor’s IG post last year describing his marriage as “a s—t show”?
Deciphering the ecliptic clause as “shit,” why was he so nasty about his own private life?
This was written by Trevor in his socmed spaces last December when the rumors of separation cropped.
Rufa Mae went back to the Philippines and suddenly, we would always see her practically on multimedia.
Before the unfortunate incident, though, Quinto was all joyful and playful in her vlogs—clowning about drinking her favorite coffee translating the subject to “kape” in reference to one of her TV sitcoms with Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Jr., “Idol ko si Kap” or making fun of a brand of Filipino commercial delicacies associated with her nickname Peachy, pichi-pichi.
After those series of antics, she would write on her Instagram a gripping account of her thoughts and feelings toward the tragedy which seemed like her whole world had crumbled.
That would amount, though, to the ironies of life that one has no monopoly of joy and happiness twenty-four seven.
