The stage is set for the Philippine representatives to showcase their prowess at the upcoming Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 Grand Finals scheduled in January, where 26 teams from across the Asia Pacific region will vie for the esteemed title of APAC Predator League champions.

The league serves as the breeding ground for emerging esports talents. Every season, thousands of teams across the region sign up for a chance to live out the dream of winning it all in the grandest stages.

“Predator League is our commitment to further cultivating the gaming community in APAC. We are thrilled to bring the Asia Pacific Predator League to Manila, a city with one of the most substantial esports fanbases,” expressed Manuel Wong, Managing Director at Acer Philippines.

During the Predator League 2024 Philippine Finals held at SM North EDSA Cyberzone last November 11 and 12, Made in Philippines (MIPH) and Oasis Gaming emerged as champions. These victories earned both teams a prestigious Predator Shield and the privilege of representing the Philippines at the January 2024 Asia Pacific Predator League Grand Finals.

In the Dota 2 grand final, Made in Philippines faced off against Smurfers, who had previously secured a 2-1 reverse sweep against Neon Esports led by Wong “ChuaN” Hock Chuan and Ryan “Raging Potato” Qui.

MIPH displayed exceptional skills, sweeping InterActive Philippines 2-0 in the semi-finals and ultimately claiming the title with another decisive 2-0 victory over Smurfers in the final. This triumph not only secured the Predator Shield but also a Php250,000 cash prize, while the runner-up received Php100,000. Neon Esports and InterActive Philippines each received Php55,000.

Turning to the VALORANT championship, Oasis Gaming overcame a 1-0 deficit to defeat NAOS Esports 2-1 in the semifinals. ZOL Esports engaged in a thrilling three-game battle against Valhalla to secure their spot in the final against Oasis. The final saw Oasis Gaming dominate with a 2-0 victory over ZOL Esports, earning them the championship title and a Php250,000 cash prize. ZOL Esports received Php100,000, while NAOS Esports and Valhalla each received Php55,000.

In the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 Grand Finals to be held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on January 13-14, 2024, Made in Philippines is anticipated to face formidable competition from other top-tier Dota 2 teams in the region, including Blacklist International, Execration, and the defending Asia Pacific Predator League champions, Polaris Esports.

Simultaneously, Oasis Gaming and ZOL Esports will contend with the Filipino-led Team Secret, a highly respected team in the VCT Pacific League.
