Seven years is a long, long time. So goes an old love song.
Couple Vice Ganda and Ion Perez celebrate their seventh anniversary this year with a milestone endorsement. They have just become the newest models of Belle Dolls, a line of healthy drinks under Beautederm.
During a media launch November 17 in Quezon City, Vice and Ion seemed like they were exchanging marriage vows all over again as they talked about how they work hard to make their relationship work.
“I know how he tries hard to make me happy,” Vice said.
The ace comedian-TV host also credited Ion for influencing him to be more conscious of his health. Partner Ion encouraged him to exercise, go to the gym, be more mindful of what he eats.
Ms. Rhea Anicoche Tan, President and CEO of Beautéderm, said that she shared a common dream with Vice where helping people is concerned.
Their friendship started when Ms. Rhea offered to support Vice’s scholarship program.
At this point, Vice recalled how he himself was a beneficiary of good Samaritans who helped send him to school. His patron was a Japanese woman who sent him money and to whom he wrote letters almost weekly.
When he became successful, Vice tried to locate the woman, but he could no longer find her.
What he found instead is the love of his life.
