Viva Films launches four new sexy stars in Brillante Ma. Mendoza’s “Palitan”

Vic del Rosario’s Viva Entertainment is once more blazing the trail, paving in new concepts and designs to the road of contemporary filmmaking.

In the advent of live streaming on cyberspace, Viva Films is one of the few Philippine media organizations which has dared to venture in the tech breakthrough machine.

Consequently, Vivamax has been thriving in the online supremacy game and has produced and screened many films on the platform.

While there’s a plethora of movies being made by the del Rosarios, there are also an incessant flow of new stars in its stable.

Viva Entertainment has recently launched the acting careers of sexy male and female stars, Rash Flores, Luis Hontiveros, Cara Gonzales and Jela Cuenca in internationally acclaimed director Brillante Ma. Mendoza’s “Palitan,” a foray into the intersecting lives of four young men and women in search of peace and quiet in their matrimonial unions where only one lucky couple ended up in the altar while the other disintegrated due to the woman’s inner struggle with her own gender identity.

Although billed as a sex movie, “Palitan” is more than a hetero and LGBTQA+ film because of its rich social and personal complications brought about by the complex cultural and filial politics which are loosened up by own motivational liberation of themselves.

Rash, Luis, Cara and Jela are confident newbies who appear to have been honed by conscious acting chops and innate, instinctive artistry.

“Sa mga observations ko po sa showbiz at sa buhay, nakukuha ko ang tamang pag-arte (In my observations in showbiz and from real life I am able to absorb what correct acting is),” informed Rash in our phone chat last night.

“At nag-acting workshop din po kami kay direk Brillante at sa Viva (We also had acting workshop with director Brillante and with Viva),” he added.

Flores, Gonzalez and Cuenca are mutually under the management of Jojo Veloso and Viva Artists Agency while Hontiveros is a freelancer.

“Palitan” is due to stream on December 10, 2021.
