The newest ride-sharing app for commuters in Metro Manila – Xpress – has been launched last week at the Unwnd Butique Hotel in Makati and its backer, Cebuana Lhuillier, promises to showcase its innovative features and commitment to providing convenient, reliable, and proudly Filipino transportation solutions. It has been tested successfully early this year in Boracay and Palawan and aside from Metro Manila it is now also being used in Cavite.
Xpress offers both 2-wheel (motorcycle) and 4-wheel (sedan) ride options with a user-friendly app that passengers can easily book rides, enjoy competitive pricing, and experience high-quality service. The Scan & Ride feature, now in use in Boracay, allows passengers to scan a QR code and instantly book a ride and also scheduled bookings which enable users to plan rides in advance, and recurring bookings for regular commutes.
Xpress is partnering with Boracay and El Nido LGUs, significantly improving local transportation there and have paved the way for smoother travel experiences for both locals and tourists.
“We are thrilled to launch Xpress in Metro Manila, bringing a new level of convenience and reliability to ridesharing. Our focus on technology and community support sets us apart, and we are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of our driver partners and passengers,” said Xpress chairman Jean Lhuillier.
For his part, Cliff Cabungcal, the president of Xpress, added: “Xpress is more than just a ridesharing app. It’s a movement towards a more connected and empowered community. Our successful partnerships with LGUs, together with our commitment to developing entrepreneurship across the entire Philippines and our innovative approach to service delivery will redefine transportation and digital services in the Philippines.”
Xpress has a “Ride for Xpress” program that offers upgrading opportunities in road Ssfety, customer service, emergency response training, and entrepreneurial and financial education, in partnership with KaNegosyo Center. It also established an emergency response team for drivers for both drivers and passengers.
