80s star Vida Verde mourns death of LGBTQIA+ sis

TUMAUINI, Isabela–The local entertainment industry is still mourning the passing of the younger gay sister of Vida Verde, one of the most active stars of the 80s if only in multimedia work.

John Jenally Clemente Mejia, the younger LGBTQIA+ sister of Vida, Catherine Clemente Mejia recently passed away due to breast cancer.

John was an official resident of Anchorage, Alaska for years before he was flown to the Philippines to die here.

“It was John’s wish to die here,” informed Vida during her gay sister’s burial at the public cemetery in this town on Wednesday morning.

“Hanggang ngayon, umiiyak pa rin ako (I am crying until now),” quipped Verde of the films “Nene,” “Katawang Putik,” “Raid Casa” and many more.

Some of the showbiz denizens who have been sharing her bereavement are Liz Alindogan, Obette Serrano, Alice Vergara, Art Tapalla, Lovely Rivero, Alma Concepcion, Melissa Mendez, Glenda Garcia (the last four being the friends of Vida’s other younger sister Beth Mejia who come before John in birthright), among others.
