It was in sexy comedienne and actress Janice Jurado’s online show where she was telling everyone how she was loved by her neighbors who were sending her food during the recent early days of her suffering from fever, cough, sore throat, colds, chills and other body aches.
According to her, she already consulted her doctor online and she was advised to take paracetamol and plenty of water and juices. “Sinabihan din po ako ng doktor na uminon ng wine para dumaloy nang mabuti ang dugo sa mga ugat ko, para pawisan ako at makaalis ng sore throat ko (I was told by my doctor to drink wine so that my blood would flow smoothly in my veins, I would sweat it out and my sore throat would disappear),” she announced in an intermittent cracking of her voice and after sipping red wine.
Janice categorically qualified, though, she had no COVID-19 at the time. “Pag mataas na po ang lagnat ko, magpapaospital na ako (If I would have a high fever I would rush myself to the hospital),” she assured.
Janice was, and still is, alone in her condo unit in Quezon City. “Malayo po kasi ang mga bahay ng mga anak ko rito. Mabuti na lang at mababait ang mga kapitbahay at dinadalhan ako ng pagkain (The houses of my children are far from here. It’s good that my neighbors are kind they bring me food),” said Jurado.
During the time the actress wasn’t feeling well, she couldn’t move around the house easily unlike when she was in good shape. “Ito nga po, ang mga kapitbahay kong mababait ang nagdadala ng pagkain sa akin (Here it is, my kind neighbors and the ones bringing food for me),” shared Janice who was starting to croak.
There was a moment of silence as Jurado was already teary-eyed as she held her face and wiped away her tears.
In no time at all, she bid her viewers adieu and turned off her cellphone cam.
The following days, there was no live edition of her cyber show.
Until she popped up one early evening after almost a week of absence from the air.
“I’m good na po kahit may sinat (even if I still have low fever),” she disclosed. Obviously, she was never hospitalized.
Her succeeding Facebook Live versions were carried in her usual liveliness including an on-the-spot live cleaning of her whole abode.
