The Drama Queen is back.
Award-winning actress Hilda Koronel is home from the US to celebrate Christmas with her loved ones and to meet up with the production team of her comeback film.
According to Joji Villanueva Alonso, producer of Quantum Films, she is excited to work with Hilda. “I was such a fan when I watched her perform in Lino Brocka’s ‘Maynila sa mga Kuko ng Liwanag’ and ‘Insiang,’ and Mike de Leon’s ‘Kung Mangarap Ka’t Magising.’ Her beauty and talent would always leave me in awe,” Joji wrote on her Facebook wall.
According to Alonso, Hilda will appear in director Jun Robles Lana’s “Sisa,” a historical thriller about a woman who defies expectations in an era when women were meant to be silent. “Before the year ends, Ms. Hilda Koronel starts work on the film,” said Joji.
The maverick producer thanked Perci Intalan and Robles for finally getting the chance to work with the actress. “Sisa” is an international co-production among The IdeaFirst Company, Octobertrain Films, Quantum Films, Cineko Productions, CMB Films, and Myanmar-based Forever Group. “More than excited to start the shoot on this film,” added Alonso.
