The Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) is calling on all creative Filipinos to join its newest digital initiative, a TikTok video competition aimed at highlighting the organization’s long-standing commitment to education through its “Operation Barrio Schools” project.
FFCCCII President Victor Lim announced the launch of the competition, which is open to the general public. The contest invites participants to create engaging and original short-form videos (1 to 2 minutes) centered on the theme of the FFCCCII’s flagship civic project, which has successfully donated and constructed over 6,500 rural public school buildings across the Philippines since its inception in 1961.
“Operation Barrio Schools is a testament to the enduring philanthropy tradition of the Filipino Chinese community in promoting better public education and inclusive national economic development,” said President Victor Lim. “Through this TikTok competition, we hope to engage the younger generation, raise awareness about this decades-long project, and showcase how these school buildings have become symbols of hope and progress in rural communities.”
The FFCCCII, a leading business federation comprising over 170 Filipino Chinese chambers of commerce nationwide, remains dedicated to advocating for sustainable and inclusive economic growth. This video competition serves as a modern platform to bridge the organization’s history of philanthropy with the dynamic creativity of today’s digital storytellers.
