“I’ve been to one of the towns in Quezon Province to attend an event of a former classmate but I haven’t been to Lopez,” quipped action-drama star Levy Ignacio at the premiere showing recently of Water Plus Productions’ “Idol: The April Boy Regino Story” at the Grand Duchess Hotel along Quezon Avenue.
“Ang layo pala no’ng bayan na ‘yon na pinuntahan ko. Parang Calauag (Oh! The town I went to was very far. I think it was Calauag),” chuckled Levy.
“Pero nag-enjoy naman ako. Kaya lang, ako ang nagmaneho mula sa Maynila (I enjoyed it just the same. The only thing was that I drove myself from Manila),” Ignacio, one of the major stars in “Topakk,” an action caper, one of the official entries to the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival, produced by Nathan Films with Arjo Atayde in the title role.
Calauag town comes after Lopez coming from Manila, anyway.
This time around, though, Levy would explore the latter town to attend the Villasanta Clan Reunion on December 30, 2024 at the Mom’s Backyard in Lopez.
“Pero magbu-bus na lang ako ngayon papunta sa (But I will just take the bus in this time going to) Lopez,” the sought after character actor shared immediately breaking into guffaws.
He then asked if there are hotels in the town to check in and rest after a long trip which we affirmed.
Ignacio will go to Lopez to sit as one of the judges in the Personality Contest to be conducted during the family reunion.
The competition which was born out of the concept of osmosis which has taken on a new dimension–the process by which a person, thing, situation, institution etc. is influenced, molded and created outside and inside factors—promises to be a highly creative and competitive contest apart from the usual beauty, glitz and glam contest.
In the Personality Contest, a tandem of male and female shows their unique, colorful and relevant personalities by the way they move, dress, talk, interact etc. as acquired from intrinsic and extrinsic factors.
