AFTER drawing more than 8,000 runners during its successful debut at SM Fairview last year, the One Piece Run is set to return with a bigger adventure on Sept. 26 at the SM Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City.
RUNRIO Inc. and TOEI Animation officially launched the One Piece Run 2026 at SM North EDSA, unveiling a bigger edition of the popular anime-themed running event.
Participants can choose from four race categories — 10K, 5K, 3K and 1K — giving both serious runners and One Piece fans a chance to join the celebration.
“We’re excited to stage the One Piece Run PH once again, and after the overwhelming turnout last year, it only made sense for us to bring this race to a bigger stage,” said RUNRIO general manager Andrew Neri.
“This is our second year. We’re coming bigger, better, and with more exciting activities this year,” said Neri.
The organizers are also expecting a significant increase in participation after last year’s strong turnout.
“Last year, we had around 8,000 runners. For this year, we are happy to say that we are targeting 15,000 fans and runners for Manila,” Neri added.
The inaugural Philippine edition brought together more than 8,000 participants at SM Fairview, transforming the streets into a colorful gathering of straw hats, pirate flags and One Piece-themed outfits.
This year’s move to the SM Mall of Asia Complex is expected to provide an even bigger stage for fans, with organizers promising more activities and attractions surrounding the races.
With a target of 15,000 participants, the One Piece Run 2026 is shaping up to be not just a road race, but a massive celebration of the anime’s enduring popularity among Filipino fans.
Awaiting the conquerors at the finish line are a special One Piece-inspired finisher’s medal and a Straw Hat Pirates’ Jolly Roger finisher’s towel, giving participants another keepsake as they bring out their inner Monkey D. Luffy.
With its mix of running, anime, and community, the One Piece Run PH is shaping up to be one of the country’s most anticipated themed races of 2026.
