Brillante Mendoza goes to Busan 2024

World acclaimed director Brillante Ma. Mendoza’s “Bansa (Motherland)” will premiere at the 2024 Busan International Film Festival in Busan, South Korea.

“Bansa (Motherland),” which is about the bloody and fierce encounter of the Special Action Force (SAF) against the rebels and stars Rocco Nacino and Mon Confiado, among others, is a sequel to Brillante’s “Moro” which streamed in Netflix.

The 29th Busan will be held from October 2 to 11, 2024.

Mendoza’s opus will compete at the Jiseok Award which was named after Kim Jiseok, an important Korean film artist who was a programmer at Busan and an ardent supporter of Asian cinema.  Boy Villasanta
