I should have met her up immediately upon my return to country. I am as guilty as charged,” said former DZEC broadcaster Faye Romero dishearteningly over the phone.
Faye was sorry about the sudden demise of one of the most prized possessions of Eagle Broadcasting Corporation (EBC).
Moodie Jam–doyenne of DWDM also known as Pinas FM, EBC’s Frequency Modulated airwaves–died of complications from diabetes and heart problem at the New Era Hospital in Quezon City.
“Why did I postpone my meeting with her once I stepped in Philippine soil? I feel remorseful. I was thinking of paying her a visit in the hospital but I altered my plan. Instead, I went around to look for a business opportunity in the country,” lamented Romero.
“She’s one of my Best Friends Forever (BFF). When I was with DZEC, we were like sisters. She was a kind soul,” said Faye who came from the US after years of working abroad.
Moodie Jam, Magdalena Estrada in real life, was the face of EBC in her lifetime.
“The local broadcasting industry will never be the same again with her death,” opined Faye.
