Veteran mediaman Mike Enriquez writes 30

For several months, the general public has not seen veteran broadcaster Mike Enriquez on the face of television where he is a daily staple on newscasts.

A co-anchor of Mel Tiangco and Vicky Morales in the primetime news program “25 Oras,” Mike’s absence has been pitched in by several GMA Network male news anchors like Ivan Mayrina, Atom Araullo, among others.

Sadly, Enriquez won’t show up anymore in any news and current affairs shows of Kapuso Network because he has just breathed his last today, August 29, 2023.

Mike who has been reported sickly for the past months has many wonderful memories in his broadcasting career like his steadfast and brave exposes of corruption and other crimes in high and low places in his regular TV appearances.

At the moment, his loyal supporters have been sending sympathetic notes to the social media spaces of most GMA Network’s high profile media personages.

Before moving in to GMA Network, Mike started his broadcast career as a disc jockey in FM (DWKC as DJ Baby Michael, Mellow Touch, among others) and AM stations like DZXL and DWBL. He was also station manager of Freedom Broadcasting System (FBS) and Radio Mindanao Network (RMN) before heading to GMA.

No details yet of his funeral services.

He was 71.
