CAAP Dir. Gen. inspects Air Navigation Service

To guarantee the seamless and secure operation of Philippine airspace, Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) Director General Captain Manuel Antonio L. Tamayo led an inspection of the Authority’s Air Navigation Service (ANS) at the CAAP Central Office in Pasay City.

With a focus on ensuring the integrity and reliability of air traffic communication and navigation systems, key areas inspected include the functionality of ANS equipment and critical systems, adherence to procedures, and the competence and well-being of its personnel.

The ANS establishes and maintains a nationwide network of air navigation facilities, operating under rigorous safety management systems, policies, and procedures that comply with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Annexes and Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs). Hence, inspection results will be used to enhance the service and identify areas for improvement, making continuous oversight essential.

Through regular inspections of its facilities and services, CAAP proactively maintains the highest international standards for air navigation and ensures the safe and efficient operation of Philippine airspace.
