Campi launches 9th Philippine International Motor Show

The target of selling 500,000 vehicles or more per year in the Philippines may soon be realized as the country’s automotive industry become more united in  “redefining advanced, inclusive mobility for all Filipinos.”

This was emphasized by no less than Atty. Rommel Gutierrez, the president of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) during the launch of the 9th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) early last week at the Grand Hyatt Manila in BGC. It is set for Oct. 24-27 at the World Trade Center.

“This year’s PIMS embodies CAMPI’s bold vision of uniting the automotive industry and leading the way in redefining advanced, inclusive mobility for all Filipinos. We are excited to showcase the innovations that will shape the future of transportation in the country,” said Gutierrez, who added that the bold prediction of 500,000 cars per year target had been set more than 10 years ago.

This year’s PIMS promise to showcase the latest automotive innovations, cutting-edge vehicle models, and groundbreaking concept cars under the theme “Dare. Drive. The Future Redefined.”

As the premier automotive event in the Philippines, the event will spotlight the evolving landscape of the automotive industry, with a special focus on sustainability, innovation, and mobility solutions tailored to the needs of the Filipino market. 

Seventeen of the world’s leading automotive brands will be represented, offering visitors a comprehensive view of the latest trends and innovations in the industry and they include BMW, Changan, Chery, Daewoo, Foton, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Isuzu, Jetour, Kia, Mazda, MG, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Suzuki, and Toyota. Each of these brands will unveil its newest models and concept vehicles, reflecting their commitment to sustainability, innovation, and meeting the diverse needs of the Filipino market. Attendees can expect to experience first-hand the future of mobility, from electric vehicles to intelligent driving systems and beyond.
