The Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) announced that the deadline for submission of prequalification documents for the Light Rail Transit (LRT) Line 6 project has been moved from May 12 to June 2.

According to Transportation Undersecretary Edwin Lopez, chairman of the Prequalifications Bids and Awards Committee and undersecretary for operations and public-private partnership (PPP) implementation, this is in view of the request for extension and to give bidders ample time to prepare their submissions

Lopez said all pre-qualification documents must be submitted at or before 10:30 a.m. of the deadline date at the DOTC office at Unit 153, 15/F, The Columbia Tower, Ortigas Ave., Brgy. Wack Wack, Mandaluyong City.

The P65-billion LRT-6 project is the proposed 19-kilometer railway from Niyog, Bacoor, to Dasmariñas City. It will be connected to the LRT-1 Cavite extension project.

Seven stations are proposed in the alignment along the Aguinaldo Highway: Niyog; Tirona; Imus; Daang Hari; Salitran; Congressional Ave.; and Governor’s Drive.
