First look at OPPO’s Air Glass 3

OPPO just unveiled their next generation of smart glasses, the OPPO Air Glass 3, at MWC 2024 in Barcelona and it looks AMAZING! The Air Glass 3 can access OPPO’s powerful AndesGPT AI model through a smartphone to provide an effortless AI experience.

Thanks to its ability to understand different types of data like text, images, video, and audio, multimodal AI can interpret complex scenarios for users in exciting new ways, like voice and visual interactions. While extended reality devices open up amazing possibilities, they need advanced features and lightweight designs to truly act as a personal assistant. Driven by this vision, OPPO introduced the OPPO Air Glass 3 prototype to explore what’s possible with cross-device AI collaboration between glasses and phones.

Weighing just 50 grams, the OPPO Air Glass 3 has an incredible self-developed resin waveguide with a refractive index of 1.70, display brightness uniformity over 50%, and peak brightness over 1,000 nits. This ensures an experience almost like regular glasses while providing the best full-color display out there. Thanks to connecting to OPPO AndesGPT through the Air Glass app, users can simply tap the temple to activate the AI assistant and get things done.  

The OPPO Air Glass 3 also supports touch interactions to easily control music, calls, information, color images, and more. It even has reverse sound field tech, an open acoustic design with four mics, and other innovations for improved noise isolation and audio quality and enhanced privacy.
