Although she’s still battling another serious malady apart from the many severe illnesses she has been dealing with for years, Queen of All Media Kris Aquino is slowly but surely recovering from her recent bout with COVID-19.

Di pa po (She’s not) totally recovered,” intimated one of Kris’ closest friends, writers and allies when asked about her condition after she contracted the dreaded Corona-Virus-19.

Indeed, it wasn’t only the medicines she depended on but the courage to fight for her life especially for her children, Josh and Bimby.

In a recent digital post, Kris mentioned that after having fever for four consecutive days, she was initially desperate about taking diphenhydramine and paracetamol, both 200 mg and one chewable children’s paracetamol against the doctors’ advice that she could only get up to 300 mg of paracetamol for the whole day.

Her audacity got the better of her.

Lo and behold! She wasn’t swollen, she said, obviously happy because during the wee hours of the morning she had the chance to explain why she did that.

When Aquino announced in her Instagram last week that she was tested positive of the deadly COVID-19, not a few showbiz observers and the general public were alarmed by the gravity of her health situation, especially the complications it could bring to her several autoimmune diseases.

“I’ve been sick from the time I got out of the hospital, early Sunday. Kuya (a term of endearment to an older man or a brother by blood or affinity) Josh (her eldest son) on Monday started to cough and squeeze last night. I didn’t want him to feel unwelcome and he was wearing his mask so I slept with him,” Kris said.

According to the actress-TV host, her condition got worse during the treatment in the hospital including methotrexate injectable chemotherapy.

She also mentioned in her posts that she had a conversation with her fashion designer-friend JC Buendia who was recently tested for COVID-19 during a hospital stay.

Discovering JC’s contraction of the virus made her reflect on the need to rest properly given her health situation.

“I said sleeping is a lost luxury because of my never-ending fits of evening coughing,” Kris lamented.

This is Kris second time to be ill with COVID-19 as she had it in 2022 which was cured in a matter of days in an atmosphere of a frenzy pandemic.

At the moment, Aquino is being swarmed with encouraging public messages of well-wishes.
