The Philippine National Police (PNP) will soon have its building in Bacolod City as local officials, along with key police officers, held a ground-breaking of the P25-million police station recently.
Lt. Col. Anthony Grande, head of PNP in Himamaylan, said the PNP funded the project and expects it to be completed in one year.
Grande said the police station is situated in a 2,000 square-meter lot donated by the city government in Barangay Talaban. It is about 300 meters away from the existing police station beside the City Hall.
He added that their new home will enable them to perform their tasks comfortably, especially administrative work.
The new building will have a roof deck and a big detention facility that can accommodate 25 detainees and will also house various offices.
