Paving the road for seamless transport in Calamba

Following the mandate to ensure a convenient and efficient travel, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) joined the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB), Local Government of Calamba City in Laguna, San Miguel Corp. (SMC), and Ayala Greenfield Development Corp. at the groundbreaking ceremony of Ayala Greenfield Interchange last 14 October 2024. 

Transport Secretary Jaime J. Bautista, represented by DOTr Undersecretary for Road Transport and Infrastructure Jesus Ferdinand Ortega, expressed his support to the project, that providing another convenient access for motorists to SLEX, easing up traffic congestion in the area, pave the way for more opportunities, and enhance the life of every resident not just in Calamba but also in the CALABARZON area. 

For their part, Ayala Corp. & AyalaLand Chairman Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala and SMC President and CEO Ramon S. Ang both expressed their thanks and highlighted the power of partnership and working together for the goal of giving a better quality of life in our country through this project. 

“The interchange is more than an infrastructural development, it’s a beacon of progress and opportunity by addressing the growing volume of vehicles and visitors that flock to the resort capital of the Philippines and the growth corridor of the CALABARZON region, Calamba City,” Calamba City Mayor Roseller Rizal also highlighted during the groundbreaking ceremony.
