The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) broke ground for a new bridge to be constructed by the Coast Guard Base Taguig (CGBT).
According to the CGBT Commander, Captain Victorino Ronaldo Acosta IV, the bridge will strengthen operational capabilities of the base by improving access to key areas, facilitate smoother mobility for personnel and vehicles, increase safety by addressing outdated infrastructure, and support future expansion plans at the base.
On behalf of PCG Commandant, Admiral Ronnie Gil L Gavan PCG, Coast Guard Logistics Systems Command (CGLSC) Commander, Commodore Tito Alvin Andal PCG, said the event is a celebration of transformation, progress and commitment to the PCG’s mission of serving the nation.
“This momentous event is a celebration of strength and unity that transpires within the organization and all the people behind it. This new bridge is not just a passage that links between two points, its connection between people, opportunities, and future,” he expressed.
“As we move forward with this project, let us remember that this is just the beginning, an exciting step toward ensuring that the PCG continues to uphold its mission with excellence, professionalism, and unwavering dedication,” added the CGLSC Commander.
Maritime Security Law Enforcement Command (MARSLEC) Commander, Vice Admiral Robert Patrimonio PCG; Project Director, Commodore Prudencio Patricio Jr PCG; as well as Franzcor Trading and Construction representatives also attended the event.
