Phl condemns North Korea’s missile launches

North Korea’s recent ballistic missile tests, citing concerns over regional peace and stability.

In a statement on Friday, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) emphasized that such actions threaten economic progress and security in the Korean Peninsula and the broader Indo-Pacific region.

North Korea launched multiple ballistic missiles into the sea on Monday, following its denunciation of ongoing joint military exercises betmissileween South Korea and the United States. 

The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff confirmed that the missiles were fired from North Korea’s Hwanghae province, marking its fifth missile test this year.

The U.S.-South Korea Freedom Shield 2025 drills, which began Monday, include urban combat operations, mass casualty treatment and evacuation, field artillery exercises, and air assault training. The exercises are scheduled to continue until March 21.
