Chinoy artist Rebecca Chuaunsu and versatile thespian Ronnie Lazaro won Best Actress and Best Actor, respectively, at thd recently concluded 2024 Sinag Maynila Film Festival held at the Metropolitan Theater in Manila Sunday night.
Chuaunsu bagged the prize for her role as the demented Chinese woman whose memory is restored with the aid of her locket necklace for Rebecca Chuaunsu Productions and Rebelde Films’ “Her Locket” which also won Best Film while Lazaro took home the plum for his role as the molder of a young criminal for Southern Lantern Productiins’ “The Gospel of the Beast.”
Elora Espano brought home the Best Supporting Actress trophy for her role as the caregiver-theft in “Her Locket” while Jansen Magpusao clinched the Best Supporting Actor for his role as the young vulnerable offender who later turned to a hardcore killer in “The Gospel of the Beast.”
J.E. Tiglao romped away with the Best Director award for “Her Locket.”
