The “Dear Heart” US tour concert of Megastar Sharon Cuneta and her estranged husband Gabby Concepcion.
The couple as screen love team has started to conquer the select states of the United States to echo the Philippine success of the eponymous title of their first movie together.
At the moment, Sharon and Gabby are taking Las Vegas by storm as they cavort each other’s display of reel affection onstage reminiscent of their virginal duo in the early ‘80s when the actress was at the height of her teenybopper years and the actor was the matinee idol boy-next-door.
It’s sad that their daughter KC Concepcion isn’t around to add excitement and filial adventure in the core of the revival attempt at trinity, holy or unholy.
Not only are their 80s fans the more excited lot than themselves but the current crop of millennials and Gen Zayers who are head over heels vicariously in love with them.
It must be the stories their old folks have been telling them that they empathize with the sugary coated performances of the two with the blessings of their respective partners.
This is just a show, anyway.
