Beauty queen-actress reunites with son in US

Distance makes the heart grows fonder.

Such situation is true to the actress and 1982 Binibining Pilipinas-Universe Maris Isabel Lopez.

Maria Isabel has been going in and out of the United States of America since she got married to American lawyer Jonathan Melrod.

Lopez by all means has managed to go home to the Philippines when she has movie, television and other multimedia assignments.

But they don’t happen everyday so she misses her loved ones back home especially her youngest son, her unico hijo and wonder boy Ken Yokohama.

“I miss Ken so much although we always communicate online. But physical togetherness is such a wonderful encounter we don’t do much as he is busy with his work in the Philippines.

“In my case, I am also busy with my visual arts and taking care of Jonathan in the US,” qualified Maribel.

Recently, Ken, Maria Isabel’s son with her former Japanese husband Hiroshi Yokohama, has filed a vacation leave from his office so he was able to go to the US with her girlfriend Nicole Belmonte.

It was such a filial in-person bonding of mom and son miles away.

“Being with Ken in the US is such a blessing. It enriches and enhances our filial bonding,” Maria Isabel opined.

The Yokohama kid also met up in the US with his elder sister, Maria Isabella, also known as Mara Lopez, the actress.

Before Mara tie the knot with American businessman Chandler Booth in November at El Nido in Palawan, Ken wanted to bread break with her.

“They love each other. They are ideal siblings,” shared the mom.

In a recent talk with Ken, he admitted that he and Nicole will get marrief year apart from Mara’s wedding.
