Although his malady or not even his diagnosis is mentioned, singer and actor Dingdong Avanzado has been going back and forth to a still undisclosed hospital.
This was announced by Dingdong’s wife, singer-actress Jessa Zaragoza on his digital world territories.
“Since Father’s Day, June 22 we’ve been going back and forth to the hospital, as Dingdong’s been facing health challenges,” disclosed Jessa.
According to Zaragoza, Avanzado underwent a surgery but she didn’t exactly mention what part of his body went under the knife.
“He was admitted again last Friday,” she said.
Jessa described how he has managed to take care of her husband. “I’ve realized, di din biro mag alaga ng (…it’s not a joke to take care of your) loved ones mo na may karamdaman (who aren’t feeling well). I have to be on my toes all the time pag may kailangan sya (if he needs something),” she noted.
Zaragoza took time out to thank her family and friends who paid visits to Dingdong, who is celebrating his fiftieth birthday on July 7, 2026.
She hoped he could celebrate his birthday at home.
“Thank you to all our family & friends who took time to visit Dingdong (yung iba—others—are not in the picture). We appreciate you all. Thank you for the prayers,” she fondly wrote.
“Salamat ng marami (Many thanks) to Dingdong’s doctors for getting to the bottom of this. Especially to Dr. Perfecto Palafox our Cardiologist, Dr. PJ Fernandez (Dingdong’s Urologist) & Dr. Ariola/Ramos (Infectious disease doctor),” she added.
