Despite his successful career and full slate of projects, Piolo Pascual remains candid about another aspect of his life—being single. By choice.
“Kaya nga binubuhos ko na lang sa trabaho eh, mahirap eh. You can’t have it all, sabi nga nila. I guess at the end of the day it’s a matter of choice. I’ve learned to appreciate myself the last 15 years that I’ve been single and I’m not saying I’m proud of that but it’s much easier. So if and when it comes, hopefully I’m ready.”
“I would say, siguro ‘pag nag-slow down na ako.”
“Nasanay na eh. Nasanay nang wala eh. Itutulog ko na lang,” he quipped.
Still, Piolo remains open to the possibility of finding love.
“It’s never too late for love, that’s why I’m not rushing.”
The Philippines’ Ultimate Heartthrob and Cornerstone artist Piolo Pascual has three major projects lined up: he announced a new album with Star Music, a gala concert on November 24 at the Grand Ballroom of City of Dreams Manila, and a coffee table book titled “In Transit.”
The brand-new album, to be released under Star Music and produced by veteran producer Jonathan Manalo, is a highly collaborative project five years in the making. Piolo and the label aim to complete and release it later this year.
The gala concert will benefit the Hebreo Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by Piolo in 2008 to provide underprivileged youth with opportunities in education.
The self-published coffee table book “In Transit” features photos of Piolo from his travels between 2019 and 2026, spanning Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, France, and the United States, including Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York, Florida, and Hawaii.
“This is my third coffee table book,” Piolo shared in the media conference last Sept. 24.
“I’ve always wanted to share my travels,” the actor-singer said.
Piolo dreams of collaborating with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin someday, embracing the possibility with a simple reminder: “Hindi naman masamang mangarap, ‘di ba?”
Iñigo’s influence
Iñigo has also been influencing his dad’s music rotation lately, with Piolo discovering and appreciating artists like Janine Berdin, IV of Spades, and Cup of Joe.
When it comes to performing, however, Piolo is quick to acknowledge that his son Iñigo may even have the edge over him.
“He’s (Iñigo’s) a better performer than me.”
Piolo takes pride in Iñigo’s natural talent and self-taught abilities, recalling how his son was drawn to music and performance from a young age.
“Ever since he was a kid, gusto niya na talagang kumanta, sumayaw… His talent is innate. He teaches himself, playing the instruments.”
For Piolo, Iñigo’s strengths shine brightest on stage.
“Once you see him on stage, he’s a complete package.”
Piolo shared, “Aside from him being a singer-songwriter, he’s also a good dancer, actor. I guess there’s more in store for him. Magaling talaga ‘yung bata eh, not because he’s my son—but I just see there’s so much potential in him—so that’s why I always encourage him to go for it.”
Piolo Pascual’s gala concert will be held on November 24, 2026, 7 p.m. at the Grand Ballroom of City of Dreams Manila, presented by Cornerstone Entertainment.
City of Dreams Manila is the venue partner for both the gala concert and the media conference.
